I never have myself to defend.
I walk as tall as He did mend.
I never have to hide from HIM.
As strange as that might seem.
Jesus came and gave me love
Now I too can behold this Dove.
My heart now bleeds tonight
For why can’t you esteem my plight?
Why am I trampled like seaweed?
Why do you my brother not see my need?
Why do you my sister, destroy with such speed?
You see Jesus came to set me free
He looked at me and saw what you could not.
He touched my heart and I did find
Not ever does he my past unwind.
