My soul is downcast. Hear me, oh God!
Deliver me from my fear.
My heart is faint from worry and trial, darkened as the
night.
I long to behold your face. Oh that you may appear!
Quench my spirit with the morning dew. Strengthen me by thy
might.
But my life is but a breath! It vanishes as the mist.
My hope is in my Lord, my God.
My name is on his lips.
He hides me in the shadow of his wings that I may grow.
Always by my side he'll be. He will never let me go!
