When I was just a little girl,
life was so much fun ,
Just playing with my friends until the day was done.
We did not live in fear of being snatched away,
Back then people had morals and on children they did not
prey.
We did not have internet, television or cable ;
Mom read to us the Bible that was always there on the coffee
table.
God was welcomed in our homes and schools;
We were taught to pray and live by the
Golden Rule.
What is wrong with the world today?
It's no longer a safe place for children to go to school and
play.
I think it's because God is no longer welcome in our home
and schools,
and we no longer teach our children to pray and live by the
Golden Rule.
