I sit in awe
My soul fired like the sun
For my Father
Doeth love this fallen one –
Enough to give His beloved son.
Many have asked,
“How do you really know?”
It’s so simple, I say –
He said yes to death instead of no
So I might live forevermore.
I’m a child of the King,
Though sometimes I act like the devil’s.
Then His heart doth cry
For though I party like a rebel
My soul doeth shrivel as if it’s death’s knell.
But then I beg
For His loving forgiveness –
I don’t deserve it
Yet He gives it with loving earnestness
And my heart doth cry with grateful thankfulness.
For I the wretched,
Lost, unworthy soul –
Full of sin and ungrateful spirit
Am still loved like His only Son
CAUSE I’M A CHILD OF THE ALMIGHTY ONE!
