I think that sunsets must be
God’s way of saying goodnight.
“Sleep well, stay warm, remember
I’ll be with you, you’ll be alright.”
“Give the day’s worries to Me.
I can hold all of their weight.
There is no burden too heavy,
just lay them at My Heaven’s Gate.”
“How can you every forget
that I love you so very much?
Whatever mistakes you might make
can float away with the evening dusk.”
“Look to Me in all things.
I made you just as you are.
Never doubt that I will find you-
you’ll never need to look far.”
“Be very still and listen
as I try to speak to your heart.
Wherever you may wander
I never want us too far apart.”
“You feel you don’t have the answers
but I designed it that way you see.
I just really want you to search—
and learn to trust in me.”
“Goodnight My child, goodnight,
I will watch you all the night through.
Promise Me one thing though please…
you will honor Me by just being you.”
